WILLS, POWERS OF ATTORNEY, LIVING WILLS, ESTATES

Today it is more important than ever that you provide for disposition of your assets when you die, as well as, the possibility of illness or disability that may prevent you from taking care of things you need to get done.

Wills

If you have children, it is critical that you provide for them in the event one or both parents die unexpectedly. In your will you can appoint a legal guardian for them, and set up a trust to manage your assets for their benefit until they reach a certain age selected by you. Your appointed Trustee can use the funds and assets for the health, maintenance, education or general support of  your child or children  until they get full distribution of the funds at the predetermined age you select.

If you have no children, it is no less important to provide for who will get your real and personal property when you die. Your Will allows you, not the state, to control who will inherit your property, personal  items, cash, bank accounts etc. and allows you to appoint someone you trust to administer your estate to make sure your wishes are carried out.

Powers Of Attorney

We can prepare a legally proper power of attorney that will allow someone you trust to take care of paying bills, collecting money, dealing with banks and other institutions if you become unable to. Your Agent, as your power of Attorney is referred to, must always act solely on your behalf and can be invaluable in the event you become temporarily or permanently unable to handle things.

Living Wills

Living Wills, also called Health Care Powers of Attorney, provide your advance instructions or directives to your health care providers regarding your care and treatment in the event you are unable to communicate with them directly. They also allow you to appoint a trusted individual, who knows your wishes, to make those decisions on your behalf, if you cannot.

Estates

If someone close to you has passed away, we can help you thorough the process of winding up their affairs and carrying out the wishes in their Will. If they left no Will, we can guide you through the complex laws and procedures which apply to so-called intestate estates.
